    carb problems(boggs down) on a 03 700 twin

i have a ski i built over this summer, its a 03 polaris freedom hull and a jet drive and all wiring an electronics out of a 98 slth. It has a 700cc twin and i put a dual carb setup on it. The problem im having is it launches out of the hole great but just as it about to plane it boggs down like its getting no gas and i can hit the gas again and it will launch again then bogg again. It wont shut off like it gets no gas but just enough to keep it running when it boggs. Would anyone have an idea what i should check or adjust? I would like to get it running great by this weekend and ride before it gets colder out. thanks to all that help.

Pull the carbs and check/clean the diapragms, jets, needles, etc. Probably best to do a rebuild if you don't know the history of them.

It sounds like you're running only on the low speed jets and the accelerator pump.....when you pump the throttle, you're shooting a blast from the accel. pump and getting a little kick.

if this helps any, out of water it revs up great and quick. i'll pull the carbs in the morning. what should the low and high speed screws be set at. I cleaned the carbs out a couple months ago.

Is this the original ignition system from the 1998, or the Updated Ignition Kit?

What is the part number on the CDI?
    Note: Handwritten numbers are important.

They all rev great with no load on the engine.

Exactly what year carbs are you using ? Part # ?( that will answer if it has an accel pump or high screws and correct specs )

Sounds to me ,you need to check the pop off pressure and make sure the needle arm is adjusted properly.
