You can run a C3 wheel with stock ecu but once you hit the boost and rev limiter of 7700rpm it wont do much but a bit quicker off the mark. If you get a skat prop of around a 13/22??? (others will have much better advice) you'll get a little more speed and keep the motor off the rev limiter.

What are your end goals (aka. how much do you want to spend?).

What state are you in? There are some good local advice (free) in most area's.

my goal is not to rev the shit out of the thing cause i do mostly ride in the ocean (tasman sea) and the skis out the the water half the time but id like to get to maybe 75 to 80 but top speed isnt critical but revs are
im just worried about leaning the engine out
    what do you think?

If your ocean riding MOST of the time I'd stay as stock as possible with the exception of an intake grate (to stop the buck).
Reliability is your first concern out there.
The motor can be taken to 8500rpm easily. In fact most here use 8400-8600 rpm limits on their aftermarket ecu's. So a stock ecu at 7700rpm limiter should never let you down.
Do the ribbon removal for a bit better grunt.
If fuel economy is upmost in your mind for long distance ocean runs, save your Maca's Munchies for a motec down the track. Good for 20-30% fuel saving if you do nothing else. Vipec will do the same but there's only a few guru's around Oz for them (not saying their bad).
If your still aiming for the C3 and 13/25, put them in and let us know how you go. I know a few of us promote Gary Watson but his advice is never wrong and free of charge. He's only a phone call away. Buy shit off him and he'll be there to help. Us keyboard racers just have too much time on our hands. LOL.

ide like this thing to go a bit faster but dont want to have reliability issues
hey do you think i will need to log afrs with the c3 wheel or will the ecu compensate ?

Pretty sure the stock ecu will have you covered.

At the end of the day you can f around with all the bolt-on's you like but it wont go any harder untill you ditch the stock ecu.

In 2008 everyone was making shit for the SHo's and it made an AMAZING 3-5mph difference. Now you change from the stock ECU, add a 13pound wheel, change props and your into the 80's with relative ease. Just look at the speed/mod list that Rip started. Statictics tells a good story.

But opinions are like bumholes, everyone has one.

Here's mine: Motec works for me.

Edit: borrow a goldbox for a long ride and you'll never want to give it back!! Ask FX160, lol.

Couldn't agree with you more. Hence my original theory. Either stay stock and save on buying less effective bolt-on's or step up and make it really hum (with reliablity).

The un-reliablity comes when you go over 15psi wheels. Supercharger shafts/ bush bearings /thrust plates are pushed beyond their limits. Clutches also feel the pain. We have solutions now for wheels up to 20+psi but it needs a little more testing and it's not overly cheap.
