    TPS problem

    Hi all Motec guys,

I own motec on my rxt-x. Today I want start ski, but did not. I see with my computer that when I pull throttle TP % numbers not change. So, how I can check that TP sensor - TPS - work or not??

    Hi repsol
I assume this is not a 2010 RXTX
If it is stock wiring loom and correct kit then sounds like broken wire of faulty sensor
You can go into ECU manager and on line
Then go to "View" "raw input values"
This is like a built in multi meter and shows you the raw voltage on each pin of the ECU
The TPS is wired to AV1
operate the throttle and see if there is voltage movement, report to me if there is any voltage there at all.
If none then either broken wire/ sensor etc.
    Test wiring to find
    maybe broken cable ???

    Cheers

    Hi,

i changed to new TPS and now I see all good Voltage number and also look like good a TP% at PC. But I was all times with motec with cold start. NOW also I can not start engine. I replaced sparks, igni coils etc but did'nt start. So if you have any idea for cold starting with 1000 / motec please let me.

    thanks

    Hi
Did you reset the TP hi/lo
    In the sensor set up

Do you think it is not starting due to too much fuel
What do the plugs look like, are they really wet??
With the lap top are there any errors when cranking
Does it show rpm on the lap top

    Regards

    Pete

    HI Pete,

I was many times ref/syn problem errors again. Battery at full, cranking speed looks like good. NOw engine out of ski, so I can not test cranking. I will let you result after I back it.

    thanks

    thanks
Ref / Sync errors are normal especially when cranking so don't be concerned as these errors do not mean there is a problem.
