    Life Of A 4-Tec(rxp215) Motor?

Just curious how long can the 4-Tec Supercharged engines last. Being they are usually ran @ or Near WOT most of the time. I have about 150hrs on my RXP(hope I have a lotta years left). I have more experience with Outboards and being their Life Expectancy is anywhere from 1,000-2,000 hrs. But relatively nothing on Sea Doo Motors.

Anyone with over 500hrs? Any extensive maint, after soo many hours?

350 on mine and I was running 74.9GPS, light mods. But sinking it may really shorten the life now, if not for that I really believe I could go 500 hours, but you gotta do a lot of PM and take care of the S/C

I've got 155 hours on mine and I'm wondering the same thing. Any recommended maintenance other than the obvious (washing, oil, and supercharger)?

855 hours before rebuild is impressive when you consider how we tend to hold them WOT at 8000+ rpms. nice!

Theres a local bloke around town that has 900+ on his 215 hp, his latest problem was the exhaust manifold clamp was loose.

But the motor still starts and runs no worries.

I think he dives and fishes off the ski pretty much daily.

glen perry has a customer with a n/a 155 hp with over 1600 hrs and engine never has been apart, i've over 235 hrs on a 215 running x-charger and 42's now with other mods, someone in the group i ride with has 450 hrs on a 215 stock engine and many other have well over 200 hrs, seadoo's do not like lack of maintenance if you take care of it ,it will get you home
