    Pro Plates

been looking at a lot of designs.ev,jd,wc,atm,hs.after looking at the virage i noticed how long the op plate is and that the steering nozzle isn't able to create drag in the water.thinking of a hybrid of the ev and op or just the op.the pro seems to be more about wedge angle.5 wedge 707 prop and trim tabs flat with hull it was about 1 mph slower than the virage in full river setup with a 7.0 nj.my 7.0's have always been about 1-2 mph faster than the 707's.the new plate will be about 4" longer than stock with a tail kick but heavily relieved on either side of the pump.

Is the Pro plate interchangable with the SL plates? I know the SLT plates are a bit different, but what about the SL?

    Don't think so....

But are they interchangable? I know the hulls have differences, but there were also differences between SL hulls over the years. SLX plates fit the SLs, the '97 Pro is considered an SLX.

    NO they aren't.

Full V has sharper bend angles than a SL or SLX.

If you wanna flatten one out a bit and trim the excess material, you MIGHT be able to make a PRO plate work, BUT WHY?????

The Virage "batwing" plate can be made to fit a SL. Other than that, the OP plate is a good performer for the SL.

So the Pro hull has a 'sharper' V to it than the SL or the SLX? I would have thought the ride plates would be interchangable because they are in the flat part of the hull, not where the V is. I guess the sides do match up with the angles though, so I guess there would be a difference. What plates are available for the Pro hull???
