4-tech Pistons N PIstons - Technical Help
Can anyone tell me if the Factory 4-tech Mahle Pistons are made of 2616 Alluminium?
I know Mahle use two materials in their pistons for boost applications, one out of 2616 alloy, and the other out of a softer alloy (not sure what type) for higher boost applications. The 2616 alloy is a little more britle and can have problems if you lean on them with higher boost applications.
Also, can anyone tell me the real differences (and advantages) between CP and Riva pistons, and what makes these better then the Mahle factory piston?
Thanks in advance.

People have reported zero blow by, better compression, more power.
Louis Milone, removed a set from his turbo race engine that had been pushing 9500 and 30psi boost and after 67 hours I think it was, there was no blow down past the first ring, there was no skirt wear and therefore will have been much less bore wear, they still looked new.
Im not sure on the CPs

cp pistons run great
From my experience cp pistons are great i ran them with a et 140 set up and they held up great until a valve broke at wot and destroyed the block the rings seat perfect and the oiling holes are great.
