    Why the hell do all 1200 do this

    All the 1200 i have worked on or used take FOEVER to start after thay sat for a week or more.WTF any ideas

    That's why I always charge my battery the day before a ride. A good strong battery and it starts with little fuss. Also always start it at home before you get to the ramp there's nothing worse than cranking away till your batt goes flat and needing to cut the day short.

    ive never had that problem. even before my carbs were rebuilt. just choke it, crank it, and go.

    ill do a primer one day, when my choke makes me crank too long.

    If you don't want to install a primer kit, get an eye dropper, remove one spark plug, squirt a bit of gas into cylinder, re-install plug and fire it up. Takes two to three attempts for me when my skis sit for more than two weeks.

    +1 great time to check for leaks, tighten everything down, and any other engine problems.

    Dude just had this same issue with my brothers ultra 150. Put a primer kit in it and now it starts great. Nothing that a few dollars in parts and beers won't fix.
