I used Saltaway for the first time. Am I the only one that thinks that the solution is just a normal car cleaning soap and wax combo, are we paying too much for the solution?
Can anyone think of any reason why we cant just use our normal wash solution through the attachment?

I use liquid Dawn soap. The only reason I bought Salt-Away was to get the inline hose attachment. I think it is some pricey snake oil...er, umm, soap.

Trust me their IS a difference..
but it take about 24 hrs to see the corrosion begin on the Dishsoap washed metal......
I have tried it my self........... Now I use SALT-EX in the same despenseer . ( only because it is cheaper )
IF you wash every nook and cranny of your ski with dish soap 95% of the time and just use salt away to wash when it wont be used for a while you canty go wrong...
It's not snake oil.............its is just a very basic neutraliser liquid....

I use saltaway religiously, and became a believer just as someone else said.after seeing bare metal soaked in it for months with no signs of rust at all .I was a believer.Yes I do think it is expensive but a gallon will last you at least a whole season,if not more.I use it on 2 boats trailers and 2 skis everytime they go out and it last me all year. There is another product I've found at west marine, can't think of the name right now but it was a bit cheaper.Do buy it buy the gallon,it is cheaper that way and comes with the dispenser.although I have blown up about 15 of the dispensers over the years, wish they would make a metal one or something. But maybe that would rust away??? hahaha!
Good luck guys.
