    Prop help?

I'm really confused on which way to go as far as prop choice.
I ran 79.2 MPH at 8650 RPM with a bone stock prop.
My air fuel is in the low to mid 12s so it should be over 80 MPH pretty easily, I would think.
The R2 is supposed to have a 8750 limiter but I'm pretty sure I'm on the limiter at 8650.
It's come out of the water at top end and I only saw 8670 on the Tach.
I'm only seeing 13# boost, too. That also makes me think I'm getting on the limiter.
I guess I need more pitch but am not sure how much to go for starters.
I'd like to do the dual prop but I'm afraid it will drop too much speed.
It obviously cavitates pretty bad out of the hole with the stock prop, too.
What's the most popular prop (brand, style and pitch) to use with my mods and speed? I know I will need to tweak it but I'd like to at least start off in the ballpark.
    Any help would be appreciated.

A skat prop would be nice for ur ski the twin prop would sure drop ur top speed -3 miles i think a new prop is needed it will increase ur top speed and also solve some of ur cavitation problem

you need a skat 13/24 or 13/25 possibly a 25 may be to tall . i think a 23 will have you bouncing all over the limiter. go with 24 then you can pitch either way to get your best set up.

I think you would get better speed getting the rpm down to around 8300-8400. If you're still running the B1 wheel, start with a Skat 13/23 and then go from there depending on where it puts your RPMs.

    Thanks, guys
    I'm running the E1 so I went with a 13-24.
Pretty close to 80 with a bone stock prop is pretty good. This should help a bunch.

You'd be surprised, the stock props are pretty fast props if pitched correctly, but in your case, with an E1, a Skat is needed. You can't quite bend the trailing edge of a stock prop to 24 without losing efficiency.

Interestingly enough, I finally removed my prop today after having been on my ski since my R2, C3 went in (7 months ago). The prop started out as a 13/25 prior to my R2, C3 set-up. I then decided to go R2/C3 and Bill Chapin tweaked my prop for the set-up. My problem was that I didn't know what he tweaked it to. So, all along I thought it was tweaked to a 13/24 when, today, I discovered it was closer to a 14.5/22.5....
So, for what its worth, this prop got me 82.9 mph.

That sounds about right for a C3 set up. As most props are less pitch than the numbers stamped on them. Also most people over prop there ski too. As some of my earlier post state you need to get a prop to match your target rpm's, Tommy http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...mods-there-ski
