    Rock Ingested

On my '08 RXPX I bumped a sand/gravel bar and ingested a rock which got wedged in the exit vanes of the pump. The result is an impeller (new Solas 15/22R) which is beat up and trailing edges deformed.
I've removed the impeller and filed the leading/ trailing edges smooth, bent the trailing edges to some simalance of uniformaty and reinstalled.
The results are rpms tap the limiter on cool mornings and lost 1.5 mph top end.
Is there a shop and/or who would ya'll recomend for an impeller reconditioning?

    Thanks

either IMPROS or Skat Trak will do a good job.

You're probably going to need a new wear ring also.

Impros did a great job for me. Curious about how bad the damage is. Do you have a picture?

Don't have a picture. IMO it was bad. The leading edges were beat up. Because the rock got stuck in the exit vanes, the trailing edges were bent 2-3 mm (loss of pitch). I had to ride back to the launch at 1/3 speed to avoid vibration, cavitation and readily hitting the rev limiter. I was rather bumbed at the time, I had just replaced the Riva grate w/ the R&D grate and was really liking the change. I had also just hit my best speed of 74 mph with full fuel & 240 lb. rider.... now my top end is 72.5.

Just curious what is going rate to refurbish a prop in good condition, just worn from ss ring?
Also what is Max clearance to allow on prop to ring?

Did the exact same thing with my stock prop. It sucks. The rock I sucked up was the size of a golf ball. Damaged my wear ring and prop. If the funds allow I would purchase a new 15/22R and wear ring. You will have piece of mind and your speed back.
