cant get any slip with mc master spring washers

i'm taking the ceramics out of an 04 rxp which has only done 15 hours, when i put the rivas in and its old spring washers i get 10nm of slip, when i put the mc master washers on there is no slip at all, if i put 4 old spring washers and 1 mc master i get 40nm which is way to high, i dont want to add shims to the old spring washers, are these mc master springs to strong, its the first time ive used them ?

take that L-cap thats compresses the washers and start running it over emery cloth with some solvent on it sanding the on the side thats goes against the washers until u remove enough material to get the slip where u want it! my advice for a new setup of washers is go 3 to 4 pounds heavy .....then baby her for a while and she will most likley drop right in on the proper ft lb or nm where u want it after properly broken in! BET!

On an 04-05 clutch assembly you will have to run 2 mcmaster spring washers and 3 OEM spring washers.

You can install all 5 mcmaster washers on an 08+ clutch assembly
