    Impeller and Wear Ring Inspection

I have a 08 Sea Doo Challenger 180 w/215 SCIC and I just pulled the jet pump to check the wear ring and impeller because I beleive I have some cavitation out of the hole @ WOT,
so I checked the wear ring, it looks ok and I checked it with the feeler gauges and got .012
on all blades which is tight compared to the manual spec that is .014. But the impeller does have some nicks in it on the leading edge. Take a look at the pictures below,
what do you think? Can I just clean up the edge or will this make it worse?

    Thanks for the help

Does not look to bad bro but if you have it put up for the winter it will not be a bad idea to pick up a solas prop and new wear ring. You will get a bit more power and punch.

Should I stick with the stock size or go with something different? By the end of winter I will have done the following mods:

    Metal S/C washers
    Gen II wheel
    Custom intake
    Thru-Hull exhaust/no resonator

    Thanks

Ted, Im not sure on the boats. Maybe Jerry or someone with more knowledge will tell you which prop to order.

Yeah I'm not to knowledgeable my self, actually I don't even know what size the stock one is I'll have to look into that. I did just do a search on impellers for the C180 and a guy said he when with the Solas SRX-CD 14/19 and saw good improvements but I'm not sure of his mods.

Thanks for the help. Can I expect to see an improvement across the board?

Are the impellers for PWC's the same as the ones for the boats?
