The cure for breaking crank snouts was the 2" pump extension. How many 1300's did you ever here of breaking a snout? Keep em hooked up better they don't see the fatigue from constant unhooking.

Then of course there was the infamous RPM front cover mod, with the added piece to the front of the crank and a bearing pressed in the front cover.

What I do now is have all my OEM cranks, phase pinned and trued and welded, add the Crankworks HD front mag bearing and call it a day. I also lap all my flywheels to the snout to insure proper fitment, and use a little loc-tite cylindrical bonding formula and torque to spec.

i was told to do the 2" ext. to help it out.
I was also told that the 130 psi head was making my motor work harder than the 150 psi head I have yet to put on???? by brain has problems with that but it wasnt from "hill billy bob by the boat ramp"..
I blame it all on me NOT realy understanding the 4 diff. curves i have in the advent w/ext switches , that i most likey played with showing members the night before
I believe there is a diff. between twisting and breaking a Snout ? but i am a city boy and never been near a farm, like some you #$%^&%'s--J/K
    thanks for the input
i need to get a list of flywheel weights oem,oem lightned ,rad, ect just so i have more info to cornfuze me
    matt
