    syphon holes filled

I just picked up a Riva venturi with 4 rings. The syphon holes have been filled. Can someone tell me why this would have been done? Won't my ski fill with water this way?

If you remove the stock bilige system you fill the siphon holes like this.

They are already filled. My question is why would this be done and can I run on my ski like this? Will me ski fill with water if the holes are filled?

Some guys do this because they think the bailer tubes cause resistance in the pump area and others do this because they dont trust or like the OEM setup and go with a bilge pump instead...YES you can run your ski like this BUT if you were to take water on you wont have any way of getting it out of the ski..IF you are to run this you would definatly want to concider installing a bilge pump..You ski wont just fil with water unless there is a leak BUT it may take on over spray do to your riding conditions...Hope this helps some..
