15f running crap after big air?

Got a mates 15f ski we are trying to find out what its doing.

Its starts fine and runs really well to full rpm on flat water. We then get out into the surf for some big wave jumping.
What happens is after he launches the ski on a really big jump, lands then the ski runs like crap, likes it on 3 cylinders.
After cruising around for 5 to 10 mins the ski opens up nice to full rpm and feels normal again.
He then does a small jump and all is OK, but if he nails abig air same thing happens again.

We have put new plugs in, checked battery, leads for loose connections. Everything seems ok. But is still doing this only after really big jumps, its got to be a bad connection somewhere?
The ski has 85 hrs and is 09 model.
We always go surf riding and this ski has never let him down in the last year and 85 hrs, now its happened twice so the ski will sit on the trailer till we find out whats happening.

Any sujestions on where to start looking as its only showing this issue out in big surf but runs great on the rivers or flat water.

    Cheers guys.

did you check for water ingestion? Pull the drain plug on the intake manifold and see if water drains out. Also check the battery cables, when I got my 12f the battery cables were loose and the ski lost power on landing.

I know when I had my 15f if I flipped it it felt like it was running on 3 cylinders . In your user manual it says it runs in a safty mode for a little while if I remember correctly it has something to do with oil.

Also, put a worm drive hose clamp on the bottom of the catch can, I had that hose come off and it set the oil warning off.
