    That sucks! What do you think caused it? Defect? Are the cylinders over-sized? I know how it feels, that kinda stuff makes me sick to my stomach. Although, I should be used to it by now. Sorry to see that happen.

    good tuning

    looks like ur tuning in ur ski is way off. looks to me like ur running way lean better put afr gauge on there.

    I'm not sure how you are determining it's running lean from those pics.


    steve, are you running open loop? looks like the gasket was blown pretty bad there.

    Probably got hot from a lean condition and then suddenly cooled via open loop.
    Sorry to see that Stevo. Diddn't this ski run out of fuel at wot? If so that would get it really hot quick and then when you tried restarting it probably pumped that cool water in and it cracked.

    yep, he said it was in the 13s wot and was low on fuel.

    Why was he running it in the 13s at WOT??? Asking for trouble IMO.

    Sorry to see it happen tho fella. If you get in contact with a good engine shop They will be able to replace that whole sleve with a steel one. I have seen it done over here and it will save you having to replace the whole block.

    yea it was 6:00pm and was getting little cooler and i guess i was just to lean after i shitted on a gpr conver. i let go of gas and it acted like i ran out of gas later the next day i took it back out and notice open loop was blowing air so i thought it was gasket, it wasnt lol im all ready getting my other motor bored with a engine block guard , going to change valves and port and polish head why i have it open , i had 20 hours on that last bore with cp 10size over, running et 68/140 8400rpms 84mph not sure how much boost but guessing in the 14s
