    Stock ECU limitations-more boost

Tried a search but cant find anything info.

Just curious if any one has put a b1 or E1 wheel on a stock ecu and injectors. Ive heard that the tunes from the factory are pretty rich. Im also at high elevation so right from the get go my 09 fzr is down on power Avg 63.xx mph @ 5lbs on gps. Mods intake/ff exhaust/ repitched stock prop. Seeing as how they are 2 bar map, which is good to 1 bar (14.7psi). I dont see why they wouldnt plot fuel and timing curves up to the map limitations.

I run a E1 on stock ecu and injectors. went 77mph. Yes , it is rich and it kept throwing my ecu out and total lost of power up high in the rpm range.

Thanks pretty good mph, nice. id just like to see my ski go 70 some day.

What to you mean throwing Ecu out. like it goes into limp mode? What Rpm Did it start to fall on its face. Did you ever find a solution to get it to rev clean to the limiter with a stock ecu?

If it was fueling problem, would a 1.1 boost reference FPR cure it. thats kinda was my plans was a E1, Bump the base to 55psi, and boost refrence 1:1

The ECU will cut all power....

Yes , I went MoTeC and never looked back. maybe look at the Riva Boost clamp and fuel reg.

i really wanna stay away from standalone. Just wanna go 70mph, cheap as possible for now. In the next couple years i will go standalone Turbo, im a Big Stuff 3 dealer so that will be the standalone i will be running in the future.

if you just want to go 70mph the cheepest way is with a vx ride plate
my mods to get to 70 mph were
    riva manifold upgrade
riva free flow exhuast and air filter
    vx ride plate
speed was between 70 and 72mph every ride
but i was on the limiter so a repitch may have got me going faster

    kev
ps. i suspect it could be done with just the manifold upgrade and vx plate

Back before we could reflash the stock ECU's and I was looking for a way to bypass all this I had this thread going. Lots of info in it. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...ram&highlight=

Get a reflashed ECU and that will eliminate the boost limit and raise your rev limit.

I have a vx plate waiting to be installed, and i have the following mods stated above and ski is going 63.xx average. High elevation, and cold water.

IMO a B1 or E1 is not necessary to get to 70.
