    seadoo xp 96 787

Rebuilt the carbs on my 96xp, also fitted new fuel lines, now does the fuel line from the fuel filter connect to the bottom of the carb, flywheel side carb? i have the pluse line to the top of the carb and the fuel is going into the carb down the pluse line and filling up the crank case.. i have pumped all the petrol out the bore.

    i have something wrong

    thanks

you have something hooked up backwards. the pulse line should be easy as its only 3" long. you need to look at your carbs...there is stamp that says what they are. on the MAG (flywheel) side of the carb there is the fuel pump. follow the line from the fuel bowl and attach it there. BTW do you have the lines that run to the selector and the fuel bowl correct? the last line is the return. it is a T fitting on the top of the MAG carb where the return from the PTO carb meets the MAG carb and returns to the fuel baffle...make sense?

well once i did all my work today i thought i would have another look at it and check everything.. i took some pics i checked all the lines and they are on right.. i have T peaced the slector fuel switch.. i have a pic

I then removed the carbs and removed the fuel pump off it and stripped it back down.. i then had a look and on the floor under the ski i found a clear plastic gasket that i must of missed out i have took a pic step by step..

once i removed everything.. this is what i got.. inside filter with the rubber ring..?

next i put on the paper gasket like this

next i put on this part on top the paper gasket in the pic above..

now before i put the top cover on and the 4 screws does this go on next?
this is the plastic gasket i found on the floor and was missing the first time around.. ( my fault for taking them apart months ago)

    now for the top cover..

    does this look ok?
    thanks
