2008 Sea Doo RXT-X Gelcoat buffing

I just bought this ski and there are some scuffs and scrapes. I would like to buff these out, but I do not want to make it worse. This thing is silver and looks like metallic paint. My question is is this in the gelcoat or is there some type of sealant coat that has the sparkle in it. I do not want to buff through this coat if it is not part of the gel coat.

Does anyone know anything about this? John

I think it is in the gelcoat. I too just bought an 08 RXT X and had several scratches that needed attention. I used my buffer/polisher and a product from Chemical Guys called Phase 5. It is made for fiberglass and works great.

I have some Aqua-buff 2000. Has any one used this? It works great on faded gelcoat.
