jet pump bearing grease
Baught a used pump from a member and when received it it had green wheel bearing grease in it instead of the yellow jet pump grease we are used to see in there. Is it bad?? Do I need to remove the bearing to clean it out and repack with the good sea-doo yellow grease or if I can leave it like that.

I run Royal Purple grear lube in my pump and so far no issues after 60hrs... All i did was wipe as much grease as i could then add the new stuff.

If I decide to take the bearing appart I guess I will have to:
1-tap the impeller shaft out (it will also remove the bearing inner race at the same time cause pressed on shaft) remove all steel balls from that side and wipe off grease.
2- remove circlip and tap 2nd bearing inner race out with seals and sleeve, again remove steel balls and wipe off grease.
3- repack with fresh jet pump grease and put all back together.
Am I correct?

I had the pump off to replace the prop so I just filled the cone half way and stuck it on. IMO oil is better then grease.. Im going to be pulling the pump when i winterize and replace the fluid, ill post pics of new vs old fluid and see if theres a diffrence.
