    2010 15f w/ titanium valves?

I just picked up two over at pasadena kawasaki in houston. one of my concerns was moisture corrosion on the valves and the manager said 2010's come with titanium valves and that is why the price increased this year....

    can anyone confirm this?

    thanks in advance.

I hope not! Titanium valves are lighter for revs, but generally don't offer long service life. Seems like almost all recreational motorcycle riders replace the with stainless after the first teardown............like in 20-30 hours.

they are different part numbers than the pre 2009 valves but I doubt they are titanium. The valves have a common part number with the 2009 and up skis and is listed as fitting every zx12r based motor made. I think they changed the tooling over for the different valves in the 260 and then used that instead of making more than one set. they are a few dollars more but I think its a change to stainless steel.
