    make a mistake!!

    Made a mistake!!****

I was winterizing my jetski... and had one can of the polish and one can of the XP-S lube which I was planning on fogging the motor with.

Well, I wasn't paying attention and I accidentally grabbed the polish and fogged my motor with it

I sprayed xp-s in there after, but I'm still worried.

ouch, is it an abrasive polish?

I would spray your cylinders with a brake cleaner and use a shop vac to suck out all of the crap...I personally wouldn't leave it in there for the winter!

I agree on getting it out one way or another. .
    Probably just burn it....

I assume was a seadoo or similar product?
Is it a spray on for plastic or something else? ( would not expect those to be abrasive)
I would want the ski (motor) running good on the water before I put it away but that's just me.
    Beter be safe then sorry.
    You might label your cans.

    Good thinking.

    a. It maybe corrorosive to metals
    b. it is not going to protect your engine internals
    c. It may also be abrasive.

Get it out without making more mess.

You maybe lucky if its only a wax type polish with no abrasives.

What does the term "winterize" mean ....

I seriously doubt that the spray polish is abrasive. Why not just fire up the engine to burn it out... then re-fog it with storage oil BRP has a storage oil spray that is better for fogging the engine vs using the XPS lube.

Yeah, actually that is what I used.

It's a polish made by BRP.. especially for ski's. It's like a spray wax, for all metals and painted surfaces.

I still put the actual fogger in there, hoping it would help. It's the actual can for fogging it ("for internal engine parts")

You guys still recommend cleaning it out and running it, even though it's non-abrasive?
