    '04 or '06 GPR1300R?

    Opportunity to buy an '04 GP1300R for x, or an '06 GP1300R for x +$1400.
'06 has 2/3 the hours of the '04. Once you put wave eaters on wouldn't the powervalves be o.k.?
Which way would you go and why?
    Thanks.

Well the 06' is a non pv motor. Depending on the hours and price, i would look at the 06' myself. Remember to do a compression test and ride it before you buy it. Bring a GPS with you and be careful with those stock intake grates. Look for any noticable hull damages/repairs also. See if the throttle cable recall has been done.

the 06 is black and thats what sold me !! and i got parts to sell ya !! the throttle cable recall from what i have seen is a zip tie / riveted piece of metal holding it off the motor (not sure if woody knows more to the recall ?? if so can you tell me too please ??? )

OP: although not crazy about the baby shit mustard yellow cowls and the fugliest decals ever put on a GPR , I`d go with the 06 bc lack of PV`s... and 1400 isn`t crap when you start to buy parts for these machines. You`ll be 2 years ahead of the 04...
pump can go either way, there have been great running fast ski`s with both... just have to be propped correctly for what you want to do...
