    Riva 2 degree pump wedge problems!

    just got a Riva 2 degree pump wedge for my 06 sportster after installing it notice you cant engage forward because the Reverse gate is hitting the ladder bracket! has any ran into this problem.

    on a speedster im not sure but i know on my px it made a world of difference in speed!

    This might be a completely stupid question, but can you explain how the wedge increases top speed, it's true that we see our fastest speeds at one notch above center on the VTS, wouldn't the wedge just be the same as raising the vts more?

    good point i think what it does is increase the highest level on the vts for more lift. I personaly dont like how my px handles afster installing it it feels kinda loose at high speeds, but it added speed so fuck it i left it in lol.

    The wedge changes the angle of the propulsion nozzel, lifting the bow and reducing drag. The VTS is after the nozzel and works by redirecting the water flow. Any redirection of the flow is ineffecient, aka a loss of speed. Therefore your boat is fastest with the bow out of the water and the VTS in a neutral position.
