Riva SC washers
I figure with about 188 hours on my original clutch washers I should replace them.
Mu understanding is that to upgrade to the new SD washers my 04 RXP would need a the new SC shaft....bottom line...about $400
Riva is selling metal/coated washer for the 04/05 rxps.
are these things any good?
my RXP is stock except for the riva intake and top-loader grate.

Ed, you don't have to upgrade to the 06 shaft kit. Simply install the washers for 04-05 shaft onto your supercharger. The metal washers are the way to go. Many of us have found the un coated washers to work best as the coated ones tend to glaze over and slip prematurely.

Ed, as long as you have it apart, you should replace the bearings as well. just a thought. 188 hrs. no problems, thats great!

speaking of bearings, Jerry did u get those steel caged bearings you guys were talking about a couple of weeks ago ?

Yes! I just want to test them before i start installing them in peoples SC's

Don't forget new spring washers, needle bearing and shims with 188hrs.

whoa! i just noticed you had 188 hours
Ed, its time for a rebuild. Update that thing to 06 spec and add the metal washers.

What I want is a reliable ski.
What would you recomend for my upgrades to the SC.
I've got a blow off valve that I haven't installed yet. I've seen both sides of the debate.
Reliablity is prioirty #1 as I use the RXP as my river cruiser. Nothing worse than having a break down 100 miles from the launch ramp.
If I yank the SC would you do the work for me...of course I'd gladly pay you for your work.
Also, for some reason, my RXP now thinks its a GTX. When I start it up I get this sensor code thing like Im supposed to have a compass, and my trim display is gone.
ever heard of this issue?

Yes, i have heard of the issue. You will need to bring your ski to the dealer and have him re set it up as an RXP. Seems the MPEM forgot it was an RXP. I have seen this happen many times already.
Ed, for ultimate reliability you will want to rebuild your supercharger. The rebuild kit comes with all new internals (bearings, needle bearings, shaft, gear, spring washers, etc.)
I have them here in the online store:
Remember, by entering the coupon code: greenhulk you get a discount off of that kit.
These are the metal washers you want:
I charge $75 labor to do a complete SC rebuild and that includes return shipping.
