Angry Tps backorder date changed again.

Called partspitstop to see about the tps that I ordered 3 months ago. They said they have a new date from polaris and the earliest we could see them is 2/2011. They also said expect that date to change again. What a bummer, I have 5 skis that have ficht and 2 of them need a tps. It's just getting to be a pain in the but swapping the tps out on the ski I want to ride.

I don't have the time to look into this right now, but there was some discussion regarding finding a non-Polaris sensor and adapting it to work.

They are actually made by Honeywell for Polaris, and some of the 'standard' Honeywell sensors have very similar electrical specs, just slightly different in the physical shaft linkage and connector type.

Which TPS part number are you trying to find?
    Original (1999-2001) or pig-tail style (2002-2004)?

I think it was the Kawasaki 1100 STX D.I. models from 2000-2003 (and Ultra 130 2001-2004) that used Ficht

Someone would need to have these in front of them to determine whether it could be adapted for use on Polaris Ficht. Electrically I would expect them to be very close, if not exactly the same, as the Polaris Ficht TPS sensors.

Mechanically the TPS mounting and shaft linkage may be different, and the electrical connector may need to be changed.

The Tigershark (Arctic Cat) 1999 TS 1100 LI also used Ficht.

(looks a lot like the 1999-2001 Polaris Ficht TPS )
