    96 GTX engine removal

Can the engine be removed without removing the pump assy on a 96 GTX???

No, you have to remove the drive shaft from the rear of the motor. In order to do that, the pump must be removed. Also, upon reinstallation, the motor must be aligned with an alignment tool. This is done also with the pump removed. If you go to SBTONTHEWEB.com you can print out a set of instructions for removal of your engine.
