    Help with 02 Virage TXI

I went to winterize my Virage and have an issue that I need a little help with. When I go to start it, wants to fire and does for a second then dies. However, if I hold the start button down it fires and runs- I'm sure it isn't good for it so I only did it for a couple of seconds.

Any ideas on where to start?
    Thanks

My guess would be the start stop module or it could be low fuel pressure. Does it idle smooth when you hold the start button in? I would not advise holding it in though, you can cause damage to the starter gear and flywheel. K447 would know know best. Cheers

The LR-503 Start/Stop module is the prime suspect.

Somewhere on here I posted instructions for by-passing the Start/Stop module on a Ficht engine. Search for posts regarding part number 4010906

LR-503 module controls Start/Stop engine function on Virage i and Virage TXi models

4010906 is selling for $75 new at PartsPitStop

Always check the price of the same parts new from several sources. Sometimes the new price varies widely between sources.

Often enough the eBay or used part price is not a bargain

Got the part ordered, found it for $60 on ebay- it will be a couple of weeks before I get a chance to install it. I'll let you know for sure that this fixes it. But everything is looking that way.
