hey was woundering what you all thought about a 97 gsx that needs a top end. its supposed tobe in very god shape.. all it needs is a top end.. crank was redone. comes with title and cover for 200

$200 is dirt cheap for that ski if everything is there and all it needs is a top end.

you can do a new top-end for little as $500 if your buying it for as little as that you can afford to throw a new top end at it

If you do a new top end and you don't want to keep it i would put WSM pistons in it or SBT, they are cheap enough. If you were keeping it then i would use OEM stock first then PRO-X is the next best choice.

if in good shape what do you think its worth.. 1700? or so.. i was hopin to just grab a used top end from here.
i plan on running it for a little while im down here in florida till augest then sell it prolly

decided not to go for it.. the crank webs had some rust on it a little and every now and then it felt rough on the crank shaft while rotating it.. and it was pretty screwd up from the slt water
