4-tec GTX 185hp with over bore and RXP pistons?

    Hi,

Need help with this. I got a gtx 185 sc block that I did a over bore to +1 +0,5 +1 mm and put in RXP pro-x pistons.

And now too my two questions.

    1. Does this setup works for all 4tec 215hp now? Or only some years or do i need to do modifactions?

    2. If i like to use this on a gtx 185hp sc, is that possible and do I need to modify anything?

Really thankful for help with this.

    BR Daniel

I almost certain that you can do the same for the GTX ..

The engines are the same, minus a few differences:

    pistons (cast vs forged)
    fuel pressure regulator
    intercooler
    supercharger gear
    flywheel/double row gear

Make these changes while you hav the engine apart. You will still be restricted to the 7600 rpm limiter though until you upgrade ECUs

    Ok thanks.

But the I need to clarify my question.

The thing is that I Want to sell this block to a customer that have a blown rxp engine. Does this work without modifactions?

GTX 4tec sc block with prox pistons to a rxp pwc?

Yes, the block is exact exchange since you replaced the pistons.

You will need to install the flywheel/double row gear from the RXP 215 block.

Thanks for all answers! You are really great!

So if I have a RXP 05 with blown cases, I can just drop this setup in and it will work without modifcations?

But If I like to use this block in a GTX unit I need to modify other parts around the engine?

BTW. When can I do postes in a classified section? I´m going to start a spareparts company in Sweden for jetski´s and looking for wholesales on used parts.. cheap

Sorry, not being an engine guru, maybe I called it the wrong thing. Aren't the tops of the pistons slightly different? This is what I was referring to.
