If they are are both stock no way in hell you can beat an experienced rider in the flats on that Ultra, must have been a rookie rider!!!

I had an Ultra previously and have an X now... I find it hard to believe unless it was in heavy chop. When my ultra ran high 68mph and low 69mph I had a bone stock X ski jump me by a ski out the hole and began literally inching away after that. Once I did more mods I would have beaten him but never caught up with him again. I had a handful of mods on it w/ newer style pistons, wedge, ride plate, made my own intake, all the free mods plus some and it ran in the 72mph range. I still had the stock pulley and fuel system. An X ski with just a grate would have busted my dome again. I'm not familiar with the 2010 X and if its limited regarding mph though.

I spanked an Ultra 260 in the chop the other day on my FZS.

I wouldnt be posting it if it wasnt true, people say must have been an inexperienced rider, I dont know how you can not just hold the throttle down shift some wieght to the back, trim up and hang on. This was his second 255 he had the same but an 08 and when we raced then he never beat me it was always neck and neck.
