2002 fx 140 check engine ligh
hi, after engine starts, check engine light and beep,... how to pull the codes ? i don't have a diagnostics...help

your dash has one button on each side so maybe try those two and see what happens. If a number comes up post it here and maybe some one who has a shop manual could tell you what the number represents.

hold down the buttons, got a code 24, cam position sensor... the skii will still run fine... what could happened to the cam sensor?

Acording to the Sho shop manual you supposed to check the input and output voltage of the cam position sensor with a DC voltage tester.The SHO sensor shows the input voltage should be between 4.75-5.25 V so i guess the 140 might be the same or somewhere in that area but if the code is saying faulty then you should consider changing it.
(In simple words)The Sensor lets you engine ecu know what position the cam is in for proper performance and running of the engine.

ok thanks... i will check the volts... anybody here already fixed the problem? i think is common for a fx140 code 24

I have a friend with the same problem on a fx140 but after changing the sensor a month later it does the same thing? Any ideas what could be causing it to malfunction again. Thanks...
