Help please...2003 Waverunner 1200 xlt middle cylinder replace

Hello everyone new to forum and I know there are many experts here so this is why I come. Looking for help and what to do with my 2003 Waverunner. I will be brief as I can.

    1. Middle cylinder gone but other two look good.
    2. 140 hrs on machine and in great shape.
    3. Should I replace all since I have to do one anyway?
    4. What should I replace with I am torn my friend is doing work and he has done many. I know there is different opinion over SBT? OEM is so expensive but I know what is being said you get what you pay for.

I bought ski at end of this season and it went and was lucky enough to get money back to fix it. Just looking for what you would do if it was yours and what route you would take I know there is different options for replacement.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help

Doing a tear down, re nikasil middle cylinder and just replace the piston/rings and gaskets in the other too and you will be fine. What was the reason for the bad compression, how does the crank look? Stay away from SBT. PRO-X makes good piston kits that we all use if you want to save a couple of dollars over OEM.

Crank is good. My friend who has done a lot work on these says he thinks it was just part failure because all indications were that its was getting enough oil. Sorry for not explaining it like he would but he is still looking at it. The middle spark plug was nailed by the piston rings.

So Pro-x is good and do they re-nikasel? I know my buddy will know where to go I live in Canada near Toronto if that helps.

Thanks for your help and keep it coming if you have further advice.

    Thanks

Us Chrome and Millenium do the Niking.
Make sure the carbs are good and that the cylinder didn't lean....

Ditto on this try and find out what caused it to go, properly set-up and maintained motors last 100's of hours.
