S/C question and Low RPM and Speed...Help!

I have a 2006 RXP (all stock) that only turns 7800rpm and running 63mph. The ski runs fine not missing or anything & Pump hookup good.

I have check the slip on the supercharger and it's about 80in/lbs. The shop manual says you need to use the cam lock so the motor will not turn over. There is noway you could turn a motor over with only 80 to 90in/lbs. I'm I doing something wrong?

    Thanks for the help

Due to the gear ratio between the SC and the flywheel... it doesn't take much torque to turn the engine over when trying to check the slip with the charger in the engine. At 80 inch pounds your charger is within factory specs... but you are down 200-300 rpm. I would take a close look at the condition of the prop & wear ring.

The compression is good in all cylinders. The ski ides and sounds great but it just doesn't hit. It's running like there is no boost coming from the SC. I looked at the SC again slip is around 76 in lbs. I have looked for boost leaks but can't find anything.

Your rpms dont seem too bad, but your speed seems low for those rpms.
What was the weather conditions and your altitude when testing?
If as you say, your ski is completely stock, you are running ceramic washers. GET RID OF THEM.

Weather...Mid 70's, 50 to 60% humidity, altitude sea level. Sorry, have changed the washers.

Hmmm seems strange, I'm inclined to think maybe it's an impeller/wear ring problem. Because as I said your rpms and speed dont seem to match up. Even If you can get another 200 rpms or so, you will only be at around 65mph. What have you run previously? Maybe you just have a slow ski??

The ski is new to me, was told it ran 70. I've had the pump out twice now. It looks really good there is one very small nick on one of the blades the size on pencil lead (very small).
