RXP 2006 with stage III ..need help in error 1544

Hi, I have a RXP 2006 with the RIVA stage III, and since a while I have a problem I cant solve and hope you can help me with you opinion...in the screen of the PWC it appears me the error 1544, which refers to a failure in the temperature sensor of the exhaust..but I have change this sensor twice and the problem is still there. When I ride my PWC and accelerate it rides good until few minutes when the sound of tjis erros starts and then sometimes the PWC turns off....Do someone experiment something similar with its RXP???

What type of exhaust are you running?

    Still running a J-pipe?

Seems like the exhaust is overheating or your sensor is bad.

That is usually due to not enough water going thru the exhaust. Common causes are partially clogged water passages in the intercooler, or plugged holes in the bottom of the J pipe. You need to take off the intercooler and try to breathe or blow thru the water passages - it should be easy if the intercooler is not plugged. If that is good, then pull the J pipe off and check/clean out the three little holes in the bottom that goes into the waterbox.

What intercooler do you have? The Riva Gen1 intercoolers often end up with clogged water passages, causing your exact problem.

It has been proven that stage 2 and up that the exhaust temps are higher therefore you should drill out the three holes in the J-pipe to increase water flow to the waterbox. Going form memory open them up to 5/32" or 3/16"?
