    bolt keeps getting lose???

    Hi all,
    im running a piranha solid front engine mount and the top bolt keeps coming lose every time i go wave jumping? it has blue loctiate? should i use red loctiate and be done? any tricks ppls using would greatly be appricated.

    If there is room, double Nut it and put a split washer in between and red loctite it If you still manage to unbolt that in your lifetime.....put a spot weld on it

    Yes you can use red loctite..Also make sure you are using the correct thread sized bolt...

    You wont be able to put a double nut on it being you bolt into it.....You can try using a lock type washer though too..

    You wont be able to put a double nut on it being you bolt into it.....You can try using a lock type washer though too..
    +1 SS lock washer and red loctite. If you ever have to take it out just use a small butane torch to add i little heat to the bolt.

    I know this is a bit old topic... but I came across this info when researching thread locks...

    It shows that GREEN thread lock actualy requires more torque to continue turning... even more that RED thread lock.
    Perhaps it's worth a try.

    I noticed every bolt was covered in green thread lock on my Kawi's ride plate and jet pump, from the factory.
