Skat Trak magnum pump suit Ultra

Do you still get the same numbers with Skat trak pumps? Can the stock prop still be used? What is best set up? 155 , 158, 160, 8 vane? Anyone have one? What is recommended for top speeds, apart from Kawasaki factory pump?........ Any probs with them?........ Oil bath set up ok? bearings?

    i ran a 160mm 14vein skatty in my boat
didnt seem to hold it back in speed at 78+mph
never had a bearing issue as long as you dont use the mexican bearings that come with them i ran it oil filled

the skatty stearing and reduction nozzle can make it very heavy so you are best to re adapt the original 250 reduction and steer

just my findings i sure some one else will say otherwise

Not exactly apples to apples but I'm running a 148mm 12vane setback in my n/a 15f with cams. I picked up a little top end but that was also with a pitch change. The rough water hook up and acceleration are unbelievable. After riding with it for a season, i'll have it no other way. Btw, glen was super helpful and all I bought was a prop and not even directly through him.

Maybe able to adapt the new Kawasaki 300x pump, can anyone confirm whether the pump adaptor in the 300x is the same size as the 250?

    160mm 8 vein,

with dawson prop still does good top speed in current setup...........
    auto drop,grate etc

You just need to spend time tuning to suit your application/setup ( props, rings )

you need 160mm to get the barge out of the hole without cavitation...

    i ran a 160mm 14vein set back 75mm hub
filled with castrol syntrans full synthetic oil
i changed props pretty much every race day so the oil didnt stay in there long
i ran a pretty funky prop design but it only affected hook up and acceleration
the pitch i always ended up with was 13/22 or 13/23 depending on where we raced
dont forget this is on a pretty angry motor
not with that little penis pump blower some of you guys run
i always had the thing spinning to 8700-8800

with the power that boat had i would now get a 160 14 vein with 83mm hub
    just to help with drive
