You only need the Rotax tentioner if more that 20 thousands have been machined off.

    Only a few replies?

I guess that means most are still running the stock tensioners no matter what has been shaved?

I have been running the X tensioner with (04) 29 cam, deck head and deck block with oem gasket.

I think alot of folks dont realize that when shaving the head and block that they may need to run a different tensioner to get the cam timming correct.
    Just some FYI

So I read this as I'm OK with a stock tensioner with only a decked head?

i am running a 29 cam with decked head and a rotax tensioner but i dont know how much the block and head were decked prior to me getting it because the tensioner was already installed and head work already done but it was there and there it shall stay.
