    Talking Nascar championship race?

Who do you think will win the Championship race today I am thinking the #48 will come through to win that fifth championship today. What's your pick? Tommy Jordan

I'm really hoping Denny pulls it off. He has been really strong but Jimmie's crew chief strategy is hard to beat.

    I don't like any of the 3....... I'm a Ford man
When it comes to NASCAR, I'm old school.
I can't find it in me to pull for a Chevy or Toyota.
But, I think it will go down to the last lap.

JJ is only the best at winning the best of 10 races. How proud can you be of winning CS's like that? You can't compare old school statistics to the new chase format and get accurate data. It took R. Petty & D.E. senior a full career to get 7 C.S's, Jeff Gordon has 4 and was robbed 2 more due to the chase format. Kyle Busch was robbed of one... To say "I won 5 in a row" doesn't hit it today like it would in the old days..

According to http://www.jayski.com/ this is the way it would have looked under the "old" point system.

2010 Sprint Cup Driver 'Classic' Points Standings:
[after Homestead, race 36 of 36....the OLD way]:
    rank, car#, driver, points, behind
    1) #29-Kevin Harvick, 5274
    2) #48-Jimmie Johnson, 4989, -285
    3) #11-Denny Hamlin, 4865, -409
    4) #99-Carl Edwards, 4820, -454
    5) #24-Jeff Gordon, 4669, -605
    6) #18-Kyle Busch, 4647, -627
    7) #17-Matt Kenseth, 4640, -634
    #14-Tony Stewart, 4628, -646
    9) #2-Kurt Busch, 4459, -815
    10) #31-Jeff Burton, 4423, -851
