    R&D Performance heads installed ~ re-jetting necessary?

    Just finished installing R&D performance head kit for my 2002 xlt 1200 and was wondering if re-jetting is necessary and if so, what would Re-jet specs be? R&D claims that no re-jetting is necessary, but with additional compression, I figured more lean conditions would happen?

    BTW.... Reading now 150psi across all 3 cylinders. I did start it up and run for a few minutes and all appeared good. Appeared I did get more smoke than usual ..... Should be noted that I have free flow exhaust kit installed.

    Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply. I am getting mixed opinions as to re-jetting from another forum.

    Like I said, she fired right up and ran great. Bit more smoke than usual but I have been mixing fuel/oil ratio to high at 50:1 and figured free flow would contribute to that as well? Will tone down a bit to 40:1 and run 93 octane minimum now with higher compression.

    Just don't want any seizure issues that other forum is warning me of without re-jetting.
