Has the motor recently been connected to buds? Might need to do the knock sensor update.

7600 to 7700 is the magic number for S/C slip or worse. Ski's over propped a little dont lose 500 RPM's

Make sure pump seal is good if your charger checks ok.

sorry Let me clear this, I have a 06 sportster with a 215
before I put the grate and pump wedge max rpm was about
7300, after the upgrade the boat runs perfect and it's getting
a max of 7700rpm and the engine responds more freely the guage max reading is 8000 it's this to much
rpm for the engine? I don't want to drop a valve or something.

Your RPMs are low. You should see 8100-8180 rpms... You need to check to make sure the SC didn't loose a washer....or if the slip is low....how many hours are on the boat?? are you the orignal owner?? has the SC ever been rebuilt?? fill in these blanks for some help....
Also your not going to drop a valve at 7700 rpms... maybe if you were turning 8300+ with stock valvetrain...
