    Netbook for ViPEC

Any suggestions on a netbook computer for the ViPEC? My new Gateway FX is too big and too expensive to bring to the lake, thinking about getting a netbook. BestBuy will have a Compaq for sale this Friday for $149.99

That is a good deal for that netbook and for $149 you wont feel that bad if it ends up at the bottom of the pond. I have been using a gateway netbook to program my Vipec with no problems. Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

I would go the cheapest you can woodman...They will all do fine for what your looking at doing. I use a Lenovo S10 daily for work. It's been dropped, sat on, squished daily in a backpack and has had several occasions of living in the 100+ degree sun sitting on the seat of the truck. Still works flawless. However, like any of them, they are not going to survive a swim.

    Thanks Drew.

Viewing a 10.1" screen vs. a 15.6" screen is a big deal though. I found a Tashiba 15.6" laptop for $189.99 , normally $480.00 and i would have a cd rom. I do like the small size of the netbooks though.

You will find the netbook is the best for portability and ease of use around the ski. I have both a netbook and a laptop to run the Candoo and I bring the netbook with me everywhere I have a 12v adapter to charge the netbook and can tether to the cell phone for internet everywhere I have phone service. They both have there place but you will find the netbook is your best friend while tuning at the water.

Stock ignition and the Candoo software fills the screen nice.
