Here is one writeup on a way to do it: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...ooler-Cleaning.

However, When I had mine out I just soaked it in my utility sink full of hot water and Dawn dishwashing liquid for a few hours and rinsed it out really good. Let dry and reinstalled.

The unit has to come out of the hull doesn't it?

    Thanks Drew Appreciate your feedback.

Since I am quite new to this game may I Ask:
How easy is it to remove the intercooler ?
And if it is quite simple do you have any pointers or some basic instructions in doing this.

I have had my ski now for 138hrs and intercooler has not been serviced.

Just need to understand how difficult it is.

I guess is there any way to clean it without having to remove it ???

It needs to come out to clean it.
It's really straight forward getting it out, no real surprises. Just remember that there are two water lines on the bottom of the IC (one on the front and one on the right along with the top one...3 total). Other than that it's pretty much remove some hoses and bolts and it lifts right out. It's also heavier than you'd expect.

Be VERY CAREFULL with the cooler temp sensor..........it is on the inlet side of the cooler

I suggest removing it once you have the cooler out so u dont damage it while you are rolling it around on the floor or tube when its full of flushing the inside
