I had that same set up on a 1997 gp 1200 and loved it for wave jumping... It really took a hard hit to compress the spring so i didnt notice it at anyother time unless you were jumping waves

Would love a UMI system Bill, but I don't think I will ever spend that much on one, as it would be around the $900 mark for me from the US or $1600 here

Ivnspeed, But it was better than stock steering, just in the feel more positive? Do you think changing the spring rate it would be better or trying to place bearings in the top housing and make your own bearing holder for the bottom mount?

What you need is a sponsor! LOL In Texas, this is code for getting something for nothing.

I bought a UMI system in 97 for my GP and never installed it. Although the package is torn up and dirty, it is still in the package. I'll let it go for 275 (American), and by the exchange rate, it should be about 409 (NZ) to you.... you pay shipping.

Hey, I would not be offended if you said no, cause I believe it would go pretty quick if I put it in the classifieds.

Kiwi, there were some posts on pwct, I think, about them. The freestyle blaster guys used them. Basically, they said it was great as long as you keep it lubed.

Ive got one on my blaster.
Really good system. Has taken loads of abuse, and after having this and UMI, I really prefer the Yam system.
Typicall Yam aftermarket. Really well engineered. You will love it.
