    With it being a 92, I would recommend you just find another (larger) ski to buy. It will be cheaper and easier in the long run.

    92's used an inferior jet pump (146mm) and electrical box to those of 94 and newer.

    CAN it be done? Sure... But not very cost effective, when good running (larger) skis are selling for less than $1k.

    Besides, IMO, if you were to upgrade a 650, I'd go with a 780 top VS the 750. It's about the same amount of work, and just a little bit more $$, but you'll get 12 HP more over the 750's 80 HP.

    650 = 68 HP around 45-46 MPH

    750 = 80 HP around 48-50 MPH

    780 = 92 HP around 52-54 MPH

    SBT will not take your 650 as a core for a 750.

    Many will tell you you don't want anything SBT has for sale, either

    jk- with many discussions with Jay from Sharps on doing something similar with both of my 92 650s, as I start the build up of the second train wreck, he has told me that its economical and better to find a newer hull and domestic. Besides my size and weight (230s) makes the little 92 work hard. Clint and Del both have the correct opinions on your options. I blew a hole in my piston and was in the same mind set as yourself, talking with Jay quickly focused me to the truth and not the dream zone.

    I plan to just build my first ski to near factory specs and make it reliable with Jays help. The second one I plan to build either factory spec if Jay okays the crank or just find a 780 motor setup used and extend the pump. It will not be cheap but a fun project that I can take my time on while I enjoy the "running" 650. Hope this helps out with your decision.

    Click on the links in k447 signature. He has alot of great info posted in there. Don't bother reading anything about the domestic (red) engine. You have the Fuji (blue)
