Damage from not winterizing?
I will be picking up a used ski from a lake in northern Georgia this Saturday. The ski has been well maintained, but it wasn't winterized yet this year and it sits outside on a floating dock. With the recent temperature changes, could it already have been damaged by the cold air? Should I take any precautions before test starting it? If it were damaged, would I be able to tell right away?
Thanks for any input!

I am in Nashville Tn. "a good bit north of Georgia" and we haven't had any temps cold enough to hurt anything yet. I think it will be ok. Good Luck, Cliff

only thing you have to worry about is water freezing in the intercooler and exhaust which would mean temps would have to be under freezing

Have a house in Douglassville GA and it has only been below freezing a couple of nights. Lake temps are around 56-62. I agree with 'luke'.

for damage to occur it has to be below freezing for several hours to form ice. a few hours here and there will not harm anything.

Just hit freezing temps here in Ohio, and I'm sure that in Georgia, you'll be fine. Good luck with the new ski!
