    if i was to build a 05 rxp 215 with ...
    A-wheel
    riva hi comp pistons
    4" air intake
    riva or les ecu 8600
    stock intercooler
    riva water box
    rrfpr
    thurmostat
    block guarg

do you think i will have deternation problems runing pump gas
it will be used in the surf so i am chasing big snap and bottom end

Not sure about the stock intercooler, as the intake temp could be too high. I have seen a few skis turning 8,600 rpm with 14 psi and 9.5:1 RIVA pistons running premium pump gas.

Obviously you would need fueling correct.

Stock intercooler, no!! I think your air intake temps would get too high causing deto.

Use a externall IC and get the fuel mixture correct and you should be ok, you will have to run premium gas only,

People are running much more boost then that but not on the stock IC it just doenst keep the temps down, Low intake temps mean less chance of deto!!

the only reson i whanted to run the stock intercooler was to decrease the inlet track to make it excelrate harder
if i was to run more fuel up top to compensate for the intake temp down

I would not bother with the Stud Kit, but the block guard is a good thing. And you have not mentioned Valve Train Upgrade, a must if your going to turn those RPM's. Even with an external IC, you are going to have plenty of "snap" off the bottom end.

that is cool i was going to put ti retaners and light weight valves in it incase i decided to run it to 8800
the point was to get as much snap as posable
if i was to run the rotax watercooled s/c cover and stock cooler to get temps down
are you aganst the stock cooler becus of flou or temp?

    ditch the stock IC
you will have all the "snap"/bottom end you need.

How much boost with A - Kit at 8,500 rpm or 8,100 rpm?
If is like 9 stock and 12 at 8,500
    I bet would be ok.

On my RXT I run X ecu, x inj., x SC and 215 OEM ic. In summer it will throw high manifold temp at wot. The only time it want is now with 60 air and 55 Water.
If I had 215 ecu it probably would not throw code, but is still realitive that is higher temp on my ski and x ecu picks it up.
I would like to put a temp gauge and actually see the difference between 215 and 255 intercooler setup.!!

lets call it 11lbs of boost with an intake air temp of a max of 170f with the bad stock intercooler
i have a mate who runs stock inturnels except riva std comp pistons and a turbo at 24lbs of boost 140f intake temp and no detnation you would think that the combustion pressur would be much more on that than a stock s/c ski!!!!!!

Agree with this one for sure. If you are going to build, just build it right to prevent issues and more money down the road.
