    Loose Pump anybody else?

    Anybody ever see this..

Went to pull my pump off last night and noticed the lower left side bolt going into the shoe backed prolly 4-5 turns. All three others were only finger tight.

I grabbed the pump and it moved about a 1/16th every direction I pulled the pump and see there are wear marks on the pump tabs from it chaffing against the pump shoe, two of them are pretty deep.

This boat has 60 hrs on the clock and has been bone stock so far, with the exeption of an R&D grate. Factory Thread lock looked minimal. Curious to know if any other members have seen this, Im really wondering if the bolts backed out first and caused the pump to move against the shoe , or if the loose bolts were a by product of the pump vibrating against the shoe and digging into the tabs. Maybe it was just a Monday at the Doo Factory...

Has it ever been touched since new?
I would go over ever bolt accessible when you get a chance. JMO

You got a pic of the shoe where pump sits?

Never been touched, I went over most fasteners and clamps at 10hrs, haven't checked until
I started pulling it apart to add some mods. Don't have any pics of the shoe, I threw the boat back together before any of my parts got here go to play chase boat while Breon was testing. My seal was fouled up as well, which is wierd. I never noticed a problem or cavatation, zero.

The wear marks on the back of the pump tabs are pretty bad, the pumps gotta be way out of alignment now, definetly doesn't sound right. Splines on the drive shaft looked they were on thier way to becoming f'd up. I'm just gonna tig weld/fill the wear marks in, grind flush, and align.

The splines were worn off of mine at 60 hours. They never mentioned the pump bolts but that was probably it.

I just saw another 260 x with both rear bolts missing...

    Dealer serviced my arse!
I'm a bit over how much scrutinizing these dealer wrenchers do.
