Yep I heard the same thing.. lots of nitromethane, nitrious etc. But the PR team was not the only team to do so.(hint hint very close). fucked up thing about it is many people worked hard on there skis by the book only to have this shit happen. I guess the playing field will have to even from here on out.. do the math a ski running on 91 pump gas running 96+ vs a ski running (99. whatever not 100)on nitro, lets see what the ski running 96+ on gas does when nitro is added? 115?? I hope that all those who could not abide by the rules feel good, enjoy it while it last cause next event I know if the rules are not followed and I see it I will be the first to bust someones bubble.. If your eyes are burning from the fumes of a ski make it a point to let our event host know...

    23.3 FUEL
23.3.1 Fuel must consist of UNLEADED GASOLINE ONLY. For the purpose
    of this
rulebook “gasoline” is defined as a mixture of hydrocarbons and oxygen
bearing compounds with the following clarifications:
    • Oxygen content must not increase the specific energy of the
    gasoline.
    • Oxygen content must not exceed 3.7% by weight.
    • Oxygen content must have been blended in by the refiner or the
    fuel manufacturer.
    • Specific gravity must be between: .715 - .770 at 60°F (15°C).
    • The only allowable oxygenates are ethers and alcohols. Epoxides
(example: propylene oxide) will not be considered ethers. Nitrogen
    bearing compounds are not allowed.
    • Most commercially produced unleaded fuels and oils will meet
these criteria. However some may contain additional additives that
do not to meet these criteria. It a racer is unsure about his/her fuel
the racer should have it tested by a Technical Inspector.
23.3.2 Failure to not meet the APBA fuel criteria is punishable by a fine at the
discretion of the Race Director not to exceed $100.

So Rossi..correct me if I am wrong, the meth and the juice are not allowed in last month's drag race? Did these skis pass pre-tech and post-tech? If so..then they surely did'nt run juice or meth if they were fuel tested? Did your skis get tested? Did any skis get tested? If so...would this be considered cheating per the rule book? I am curious at how this worked out.

Not commenting on how the Pre-tech inspections because I wouldn't know where to start or end...And post-inspections....did they have any? I don't think they did.

These are definitely some things to improve for next year's Hydros so everyone can be on the same playing field.

So come to think about it....most of them if not all where running the special "Gas" plus N2O...double wammy...So that would mean if the rules would have been followed all of PR would've been DQ'ed...but guess what, you can't just tell that to a mob of about 100 people...So I'm sure that's why the rules where bent a little.
