09 FZR-Rough Idle
This thing sounds like crap. The Oil Light flashes and I get a warning light and it dies on its own. My VIPEC says nothing that i can see and my oil is full.
This happened right at the end of a race. I passed the finish line, let off the throttle and it died. It did not seem like it was running strange at all before that.
Any ideas on what it could be? This is a stock class boat.

I had this very same problem happen to me too. In my case it turned out to be the bilge pump fuse. As a safety measure Yamaha has the bilge pump, injectors and fuel pump on the same fuse so no boat will run with out a working bilge pump. In my case I left the bilge pump disconnected. Good luck and take care, Julio...

Oh good....so you can sink with no hope of making it to shore at all. Good idea.
I will check that...thanks.

Still no luck with this. I changed plugs and oil with no luck. All the fuses are good. I have had Riva work with my VIPEC with no luck. I check compression and all 4 cylinders are between 95 and 105 PSI I put the stock ECU back on and it still runs rough.
Anybody else got any ideas? I am at a loss.

it will start and run but the longer i let it idle it slowly gets worse and it will eventually die. It does a strange surging at idle and when i give it gas it revs but it just doesn't sounds right. Almost like it is missing. I thought maybe it was my oil pressure sensor but I get zero faults. Riva was able to mess with it a bit to get the oil light and alarm to stop flashing but it still runs like crap.

Also wondering if it could be a faulty SD Switch...
Slant Detection Switch: Electronic switch stops engine and oil pumps immediately if watercraft becomes overturned, protecting motor from unwanted water ingestion.
